BC Marching Band invites HHS Band to join them in a performance

Boston College Marching Band invited the HHS Band to perform with them in the stands at their Homecoming Powder Puff Football Game on Thursday October 8, 2015.

David Healey, the Marching Band Director at Boston College, invited the Hull High School Band to perform some of BC’s pep band music in the stands during their Homecoming Powder Puff football game last Thursday.  The music field trip included 14 members of our high school band performing alongside of the 180 BC Eagles Marching Band in the stands at Alumni Stadium.  The experience of performing with such a polished group gave our band members something to strive for musically should they head into the music field after graduating.  In addition to performing with the Screaming Eagles, our students watched the "Western" themed halftime show from 50 yard line seats!  But the real bonus of the trip was how well the BC band members interacted with our students and helped them to feel right at home.  The evening ended with fireworks, our band marching out of the stadium with the BC Marching Band, and bass drummer Cody Preston rocking out with the drum line!  We hope that this opportunity can become a traditional music trip for years to come.
