HHS Mock Trial Team: Undefeated and Moving Onward and Upward

Another team from Hull High School has been "ruling the courts" this winter, but their championship will not be decided in the Boston Garden, it will most likely be decided in a local district courthouse.

Hull High School's Mock Trial Team, led by advisor Tim MacKenzie has just completed an undefeated regular season.  The team is 3-0 after defeating Braintree, Cardinal Spellman, and Whitman Hanson this year.  The team now heads into the tie-breaker round where they expect to run into archrival Marshfield High School.

Details about the tie-breaker round are not currently available, but we will update the blog when we know where and when their next trial will take place.  Hingham, Quincy, and Brockton are all possible sites for the next round.

Congratulations to the following students and Mr. MacKenzie for this amazingly successful season:

Lucas MacKenzie
Emily Dang
Raven Dunstan
Brittany Jenkins
Sara Benjamin
Thomas Saide
Douglas Gibbons
Abby Hulverson
Rebecca Petrocelli
Sam Campbell
Emily Williamson
Angela Campbell
Taylor Sprague
Chris Daniels
Molly Kane

Hull High School Vounteers are Fantastic!

We all know that Hull High School students are fantastic, but I thought I would share with you two emails from Hull-Nantasket Chamber of Commerce President Kevin Morris praising our students for their volunteer efforts:

“The following kids were absolutely AMAZING at the chowderfest. Especially Sean Clasby. They worked hard all day and really represented the school and the town very well. It was the best crew I've used on any event yet Once again, please know how proud I was to work with these kids. I would like to give them credit for 8 hours each:  Andrew Ollerhead, Dan Tramontana, Aaron Lannar, Chris Daniels, Sean Clasby, Kennedy Bain, Mark Abatuno, and Ricky Whiting.”

“Once again they were amazing!!! Perfect pick of kids for this type of show. Both weeks were 'perfect', which makes me very proud of the quality of kids coming out of Hull High School.”

Thanks for the feedback, Kevin.  You keep asking for volunteers and we’ll keep sending them your way!

Thanks Mr. Lidington for...

...taking all those pictures at our games.  Many of you have seen Mr. Lidington's pictures in the Hull Times, but do you know that he shares all his pictures with the yearbook staff, too?  Our yearbook would have a lot of empty pages if it were not for Mr. Lidington's generosity.

Thanks, Mr. Lidington!
