The Class Cup III Begins September 7th

Class Cup III
Challenges Begin September 7th

The third annual HHS Class Cup competition will begin on Friday September 7th when our football team opens its season against Lowell Catholic at the Gut.  The Class cup is a competition between grade levels, which looks to inspire our students to increase academic achievement, community service, and school spirit in our community.

Our cup now has been engraved twice.  In 2010 the inaugural cup was presented to the junior class (2012).  Last year, in our second competition we had a tie.  The senior class (2012) split the winnings with the comeback kids of the sophomore class (2014).  The Class of 2014 is now back to defend their title in our third annual test of class organization and unity.

There are twelve challenges each year. Nine of those challenges are announced in advance.  The other three are held by the administration and used when we need the support of the student body in some activity or event.  Below you will find the challenges set for this school year.

Who will hoist the cup?..............we'll keep you updated!

A GREAT First Day of School

WOW!  What a great start to the 2012-2013 school year!  We started the day as a community in the auditorium and hear from Class of 2013 President Sam Campbell about getting involved and making the most of your time at HHS.  Students then went off to classes, pictures and meetings.  As always, our students were fantastic and it is so great to have them back here filling the hallways and classrooms at Hull High School!

Two pieces of information and one favor to ask you:

Information
1. Most teachers are sending home a sign-off sheet with your student(s) today.  Please take the time to read them carefully, sign them and have your son/daughter(s) return them tomorrow.
2. Teachers will no longer be posting homework on their web pages.  Starting next week, teachers will be posting them on their Aspen pages.  More information will be coming to you about this next week.

Favor
1. Help us spread the word about this blog.  We will again be using this as the primary way to communicate with parents this year.  Please help us by telling your friends and neighbors!

OK – enough for today.  We will be posting here at least four times each week, so watch here for more important Hull High School news and information.

Have a great night and welcome back to school!

Freshmen Open House Reminder (Tuesday 6:30-8:30)

Freshmen Open House
Tuesday, August 21st 6:30-8:30

This is a quick reminder to all families of incoming 9th graders that HHS will host an Open House tonight for all freshmen.  The Open House will be very informal and allow students to follow their schedules around the building to familiarize with their new surroundings.  National Honor Society students will be on hand to guide new students through the building, help them find classrooms, and open their new lockers.

Refreshments will be served in the courtyard (weather permitting).  Parents are invited to come out and relax as their student finds their way through the building.

We look forward to welcoming the Hull High school Class of 2016!
