The 2013 Festival of Harmony and Artistry

 

Where:  Hull High School     When:  June 5th at 7:00 PM (Concert begins at 7:30 PM)   Celebrate the end of the school year with the HHS music and art students!  The HHS Band and featured soloists will perform their Spring Concert in the auditorium while the halls are are transformed into an art museum featuring student artwork!   Selected art pieces will be up for judging by YOU! Prizes will be awarded and light refreshments will be served in the Exhibition Room courtesy of the Hull PTO.

 

Senior Class (2013) Wins the Class Cup!

The Class of 2013 Wins the 3rd Annual Class Cup

Yesterday was a special day for the Class of 2013 for a number of reasons.  Primarily because it was their final day of classes as high school students, but also because they walked home with "the hardware" after claiming the Class Cup.

As it has each year, the Class Cup came down to the 12th and final challenge of the year.  The classes competed to plan, execute, and present a class-wide service project.  Yesterday, each of the classes presented a video documenting their service project and when the faculty votes came in, the senior of 2013 was victorious.

The Cup was presented to class president Sam Campbell and the senior left the gymnasium for the final time as winners of the 3rd annual competition.  Congratulations Seniors!!!

South Shore League Scholar Athlete Awards

Congratulations to Erik Johnson and Stephanie Striglio for being named Hull High School's Scholar Athletes for this school year.  The South Shore League annually recognizes the top male and female student-athletes at each school within the league.  On Wednesday night, Erik and Stephanie were honored at a banquet in Plymouth at Southers Marsh.  They joined sixteen other student-athletes from across the league in being recognized for academic and co-curricular excellence.

GRAD NIGHT NEEDS YOUR HELP!

Dear Parents, Friends, and Community Members,

Grad Night 2013 is approaching quickly!

On Saturday, June 1, 2013, from 11:00 pm -5:00 am, the class of 2013 will celebrate the end of their high school career. The Senior parents have worked hard to make this a special night for their kids. Now they need our help!

We are coordinating a volunteer list for chaperone shifts through the night. Any time between 9:00 pm Saturday June 1st and 6:00 am Sunday, June 2nd would be very much appreciated. Shifts are 9-12, 12-3, or 3-6, or if you can help for even an hour or two that would be helpful.

Kid's Fun Night

Hull High School students, in conjunction with the Booster’s Club, are hosting their 2nd Annual Kids fun night! The event will be held on Friday, May 10, 2013, from 6:00-9:00 pm, in the Hull High School gymnasium. 

These three hours will be filled with many activities and sports to keep your children entertained. The cost is $3/child. What a wonderful way to support extracurricular activities and entertain your child. Feel free to drop your child off, or stay and join the fun. But remember, if you stay, you play! All students from the Jacob’s Elementary School and Memorial Middle School are welcome.

Hull Artists' Studio Connection

Award: $500.00

Deadline:  May 16, 2013

Eligibility:

• A student residing in Hull who plans to further studies in the visual arts at an art school, college, or thorugh an organized program of study.  This includes an apprenticeship or private study with an artist.
• The student should demonstrate artistic promise and talent, and be highly motivated, and have serious intent.

How to Apply:  Applications are available in the guidance office.
