New Scholarships

HERFF JONES BELIEVE IN YOU SCHOLARSHIP & PRINCIPAL'S AWARD

Award:  $2,000 - $12,000

Criteria:
  • Leadership
  • Academic Performance
  • Community Service
Procedure:
  • Mr. Devine can nominate one graduating senior.  If you would like to be considered please turn in a printed copy of your resume to the folder in the guidance office by December 16, 2013.
  • If you are chosen as the HHS nominee you will be required to fill out an online application and write an essay.
Deadline:  December 16, 2013

HENRY DAVID THOREAU SCHOLAR

Award:  Up to $20,000

Criteria:
  • Graduating senior
  • Planning to study Environmental Studies (examples include: Oceanography, green architecture, conservation biology, and alternative energy)
Procedure:
Deadline:  February 1, 2014

MARK BAVIS LEADERSHIP FOUNDATION SCHOLARSHIP

Award:  $1000 - $5000

Criteria:
  • Massachusetts high school student
  • Must use award for tuition, summer programs, or other appropriate extra-curricular activities
  • Based on financial need
  • Committee is looking for:
    • Exceptional leaders who have proven this leadership within the school.
    • More serious consideration will be given to students who have made efforts to make a difference in their communities.
Procedure:
  • Application packets are available in the guidance office.
Deadline:  January 15, 2014


HOOD SPORTSMANSHIP SCHOLARSHIP

Award:  $5,000.00

Criteria:
  • College bound
  • Varsity athlete
  • GPA of 3.0 or higher
  • Volunteers in local community
Procedure:
Deadline:  March 3, 2014
