New Scholarships

1.  Hull Boosters Scholarships

Award:  $500.00 (4 given)

Deadline:  May 1, 2013

Evaluation Criteria:

• Athletic/extracurricular particpation
• Academic performance
• Community and high school service
• Particpation or contributer (student and family) to Hull High Boosters

Application Criteria:

• Completed application
• 2.8 or higher weighted GPA (documented by HHS transcript)
• Student and family participation in Boosters or contributor to Booster activities.
• Minimum of 2 seasons each year in extracurricular activies. (Exceptions considered for injuries, illnesses or toher related incidents)
• Essay:  On a separate sheet of paper, in 300 words or less, please tell us how playing sports in high school, participating in extracurricular activities or fundraising has influenced your high school experience.

How to apply:  Applications are available in the guidance office and should be mailed to Hull Boosters Club, P.O. Box 305 Hull, MA 02045 or dropped off in the Bossters box in the HHS main office.

2.  Hull Nantasket Chamber of Commerce

Award:  $1,00.00 (2 given)

Deadline:  May 17, 2013

Eligibility:

• Graduating hull resident
• Has displayed intellect, involvement and commitment.

Application Criteria:

• Submit a copy of your high school transcript
• produce a letter of recommendation from a staff member of your high school, a family member, and a classmate

3.  2013 Drowned Hog Scholarship Application

Award:  $500.00

Deadline:  May 10, 2013

Eligibility:

• Graduating hull resident

Application Criteria:

• Produce a letter of "recommendation" from a staff member of your high school, a family member, a friend, OR an enemy answering the age old question - "What makes you so different?"
• Complete the essay attached to the application form

4.  Garden Club Scholarship

Award:  $500.00

Deadline:  May 6, 2013

Eligibility & Application Criteria:

• 100 word essay about yourself and why you should receive the Garden Club Scholarship
• Science major in college
• 3 letters of recommendation
• Copy of your transcript
• Attendance at a 4-year, degree granting college
