Hull High School Theatre Arts Banquet

Hull High School Theatre Arts had a very successful evening of awards and recognition for achievement and service to the organization. Highlights of the program included performances from popular musicals such as Hamilton, Wicked and pop-music selections as well. Fifteen students will receive award jackets and theatre letters for their years of membership. Seniors of the organization were roasted and honored with speeches made my the junior class members. 

Notable awards included "Actor of the Year" given to Shaun DeOliveira, '16 and "Actress of the Year" given to Brianna Bennett, '17. "Technician of the Year" went to Sarah Ashley, '19 for her work as crew member on the fall play and stage managing the spring musical. Several other awards were given for students' hard work, dedication and improvement of skills in performance and technical aspects of production. 

Outgoing officers; President Louise Hardison, '16, Vice President Vanessa Nelson, '16, Secretary Cali Mullen '17, and Treasurer Melaney Jenkins, '18 were honored for their service. The highest honors of the evening, The HHSTA "Spirit Award" was awarded to two members of the Senior Class; Riley Harte and Vanessa Nelson for their enthusiasm, encouragement and leadership. 

Principal Michael Devine spoke to the students of the organization with congratulations on a successful year and heartfelt messages to the outgoing Seniors. The evening ended with food and refreshments as well as a dance in the cafeteria for the HHSTA members, their families and their guests.
