Dear
Friends, Families and Community Members:
We
represent a group of parents who are seeking to continue a Graduation Night
tradition at Hull High School. Many of our surrounding communities have
successfully hosted Grad Night programs for a number of years. We are hoping the continuation of this
program will be a long-standing tradition for our high school seniors.
You
may be asking yourself, “What is a Grad Night program?”
A
Grad Night program is a drug free, substance free celebration that begins at 11
PM the night of graduation and ends at 5 AM the next morning. Clean up would be finished before classes
begin Monday morning. Essentially, it is
a gift
from the parents, families, school and the community to our graduating
seniors. It’s an event that will
celebrate where our students have been and where they are going. Our objective is to provide a memorable fun
filled evening in a safe and secure environment.
Grad
Night will be at Hull High School on the night of June 3rd, 2017. The program is run by volunteers and is paid
for through donations and fundraising activities. Areas of the high school would be transformed
into theme-focused rooms. Successful
programs from other schools include activities such as: karaoke, DJ,
basketball, volleyball, food, movies, etc.
In
other communities participation in this event has been high reaching 85 to
90%. All participants will be required
to sign a “contract” and release form.
Rules of conduct, per the high school handbook, will apply to all students. Students will not be allowed to leave the
celebration unless a parent signs them out and picks them up.
The
Hull High School Grad Night Committee is in search of donations to help aid in
the end of the year celebration, which will benefit each graduating student
from the class of 2017. Monetary
donations will be used to purchase supplies necessary to support this
event. In addition, we are looking for
donations of food, supplies and services to contribute to the success of our
Grad Night program.
Two
groups who have generously supported the Grad Night program are the PTO and the
Boosters organizations. All
tax-deductible donations may be made out to Hull Boosters Club, Inc. Please mark “Grad Night” in the memo field of
your check. The Hull Boosters tax ID
exemption number is: 04-3357761. Donations may be mailed to:
Hull
Boosters Club, Inc.

Another way to get involved is to volunteer. This event needs a substantial amount of
volunteers to be successful. Please
consider a donation of time and be a part of this Hull tradition! Thank you for your time, consideration and
support!
Sincerely,
The
Hull High School Grad Night Committee
