On March 31st, Nam Dieu, graduated from the South
Shore Educational Collaborative at Hull High School. Nam was a member of the Mini
School program through the Collaborative since elementary school. While he was
in the high school level Nam participated in life-skills education, vocational
training, social skills education, math, science, social studies, and language arts
which helped prepare him to transition into the adult world. Nam enjoyed many
special opportunities at Hull High School which included band with Mr. Barkon,
Ceramics with Mrs. Davis, time in the classroom with Hull High Interns, wood
working and PALS with his peers from the high school. Nam enjoyed field trips
to restaurants, museums, stores and swimming with the “Swim with a Special
Child” program in Weymouth. During his time at the high school Nam especially
liked to work in the office making copies and sorting mail. He enjoyed
interacting with the high school staff and students. Nam
is an endearing young man with many talents who accomplished many things while
he was at the high school and while he will be missed he is well prepared for
success as he moves forward.
