Massachusetts Association of Women in Law Enforcement Scholarship
1.
Applicants must be:
a. Must be a female
b. Be a citizen of the United States
c. Be a permanent resident of Massachusetts
d. Graduating from an accredited high school this academic year
e. Earning a minimum of a 2.4 grade point average on a 4.0 scale.
f. Eligible to receive federal student aid
g. Accepted into a college or university full-time program (minimum
of two years)
1. with a major in Criminal Justice at an accredited post-secondary
institution
h. Submit to MAWLE a completed application, and all required
documentation by
the stated deadline.
2.
The MAWLE Scholarship Application must be completed and returned to MAWLE and include
the following:
a. A copy of a birth certificate or certificate of United States
citizenship
b. High School Transcript
c. Two letters of recommendation from a teacher and/or guidance
counselor
d. A personal essay of 400-450 words telling why the candidate wants
to pursue a
i. career in Criminal Justice, and why they should be selected for
this scholarship
e. A copy of a completed Free Application for Federal Student Aid
for the
j. appropriate academic year school year
f.
A
copy of the acceptance letter from the college or university
