On Monday, September 12th, our school community will pause to remember those who lost their lives in the terrorist attacks on September 11, 2001. It is amazing to me to think that ten years have passed since that unforgettable day, and that many of the students in our school have no, or limited, recollections of the day. On Monday, every social studies class here at Hull High School will be devoted to discussions of the events and consequences of September 11th.
I would like to share with you two things with you.
The first is a link to a video about Welles Crowther, a true hero who saved at least twelve lives in the World Trade Center on September 11th.

The second is an article written by my friend Matthew West. Matt's dad was killed while working in the South Tower of the World Trade Center on September 11, 2001. All of us have at leasst one connection to 9/11 and, for me, Matt and his father are one of my connections.

I hope that you take time this weekend to spend time with your loved ones, and to remember those who still grieve the loss of a loved one.
